Competition is an integral part of the human condition, and oftentimes a healthy outlet for the frustration and difficulties found in other areas of our lives. The really great news is that it is never too late to start!
HOLY CRAP!

The 2011 triathlon season…
I registered for the The Nation’s Triathlon this morning, and while I am no triathlete, I have been swimming and running in order to maintain fitness and dump weight this off-season. I am encouraged by the fact I took the rookie category at Skylands this year, and curious about how well I can boost my performance over my Skylands time. The Nation’s Triathlon is about in the same relative period of the season as Skylands, and in any case - well after serious road racing has ended.
I have been thinking of setting a goal of competing in a 70.3, but trying to find where that would fit in my schedule is difficult to determine without the publication of the 2011 cycling calendar yet. I’ll know more as the winter progresses, and in any case, I’m keeping up with the swimming and running (though I’ve been out of the pool with my busted up polo eye…), so any preparation will need focus, as I have been good at managing my base fitness so far.
Fun fun fun
